Vamsi Krishna is the Co-Founder and also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Vedantu. Vedantu is one of the leading online tutoring companies in India. He has also Co-Founded 'lakshya' (Lakshya is an Educational enterprise aimed at training students for different Examinations). He has worked as the Director at 'Lakshya' from April 2006 - March 2014.

CAREER

After completing his graduation, Vamsi Krishna decided to experiment with quality teaching. He, with his partners, selected a small village in Punjab and started teaching unprivileged kids. Seven out of 11 students were selected in the top IITs.
Then, Vamsi along with his 3 other IITian friends founded an Educational enterprise 'Lakshya'. The venture aimed at training students for different Examinations. While they were working on 'Lakshya' they observed that Indian Education sector needs more advancement, it needed more skilled teachers and such a network that could connect students with the teachers even from distant places. Six years later (in 2012),  'Lakshya' was acquired by MTEducare .
In the same year (2014) he founded 'Vedantu' along with three of his IITian friends (Pulkit Jain, Saurabh Saxena, Anand Prakash). Vedantu is India's leading Online tutoring company which enables students to learn live with teachers. The name 'Vedantu' is formed by two Sanskrit words Veda (Knowledge) + Tantu (Network), Vedantu signifies a 'Knowledge Network' that provides students the platform to access a teacher whenever and wherever they wish. It facilitates live coaching classes for 6th to 12th-grade students. The platform is also dedicated to the training for several examinations like JEE, NEET, NTSE .etc.

2. Vedantu recorded 220 percent growth during the nationwide lockdown.
