Shobhit and Supriya Paul (Co-Founder of Josh Talks) met at a party while they were in college. Supriya was in her third year of the college; Shobhit was in the second year of his bachelor’s in business administration at the GD Goenka World Institute. The two started talking and became friends as they thought they shared the same aim, the same goal. While they were in their college they founded their startup, Josh Talks in 2014. Josh Talks’ initial business model was that of an event management company. In 2016, the company’s revenue was around Rs 40 lakh, with losses of nearly Rs 7 lakhs. In the same year, the company launched its YouTube channel and started collecting more revenue. Currently it has more than 5 Million Subscribers and over 350 Million views on the Hindi channel of Josh Talks and more than 3 Million subscribers on its English channel with over 185 Million views (as of May 2021). 

Josh Talks has its own studio in Gurugram, where all shoots are recorded.
