Roman Saini is an Entrepreneur, an Ex-IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officer and is one of the Co-Founders at Unacademy. Unacademy is an Indian 'educational technology company' that aims at providing high quality educational content to students either free or via paid subscription.

EDUCATION   

After completing his schooling, Roman appeared for the AIIMS Entrance Examination and became the youngest person to crack the AIIMS Entrance Exam at the age of 16. Then, Roman went to pursue his MBBS. He has completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) (2008-2013). 

CAREER

Roman was serving as an junior resident doctor at AIIMS, he visited many medical camps at different poor Rural regions of India. Visiting those Medical camps and seeing the poor people fighting for their basic needs made him take the decision to quit his Medical Profession and rather prepare for the Civil services exam to help the poor at a larger scale. 
When Saini was in the second year of the MBBS program at AIIMS, he was approached by one of his school friends, Gaurav Munjal, with the idea to start an education initiative- Unacademy. Roman alongwith Gaurav Munjal, Hemesh Singh founded "Unacademy". 
Later, in the year 2013, At the age of 22 Roman cleared the Civil Services examination in his first attempt and secured All India Rank (AIR) - 18. He was (at that time) one of the youngest aspirants to clear the examination. After completing his training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) in Mussoorie, he was posted at Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh as the Assistant Collector. But (in 2016) he resigned from the post of Assistant Collector, Jabalpur in order to work full time for 'Unacdemy'.
He is currently a teacher and also a Co-Founder at Unacademy.

1. He is one out of the youngest people to crack the AIIMS Entrance Exam. He cleared the exam at the age of 16.
2. He is also an Ex-IAS officer.
3. He hates attending parties and family functions.
4. Roman secured All India Rank (AIR) - 18 in the Civil Services Examination.
5. He cleared the Civil Services Examination in his first attempt and also became one of the youngest aspirants to clear the examination (as he was just 22 when he cleared the exam).
