Gaurav Munjal is the Co-Founder and the Chief Executive Officer at Unacademy. Unacademy is an Indian 'educational technology company' that aims at providing high quality educational content to students either free or via paid subscription.

He completed his schooling from St. Xavier 's Senior Secondary School, Jaipur, Rajasthan. He has done Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Engineering from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) Univesity, Mumbai, Maharashtra (2008 - 2012). 

CAREER 
While Gaurav was in his college, he started a YouTube channel named "Unacademy". He started uploading tutorials on Computer Graphics. As he got some positive responses from the Audience he started uploading more tutorials related to computer programming. In June 2012 he started working at Directi as a Software Engineer but still managed some time to continue uploading videos on YouTube (Although after more than a year he left the job at Directi, on June 2013). Later he set up his first company 'FlatChat' (April 2013) ,FlatChat is a real estate platform for college students and bachelors across India. He sold FlatChat to Common Floor a year later. 
Later, in 2015 he Co-Founded Unacademy alongwith Roman Saini and Hemesh Singh. Unacademy now has more than 10,000 registered educators and 10 million learners. He is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Unacademy. Gaurav said "In the summer of 2015 while I was in Jaipur, I got this idea of an App which would make creation of educational lessons very easy. I immediately called Roman, who at that point of time was working on Unacademy videos only for our YouTube channel'. This was the beginning of Unacademy (as a company, an app). And now here it values more than $117M (as of March 2019). Its true, that it all starts with a good idea and a lot of dedication.

1. Gaurav co-founded Flatchat, a real estate platform for college students and bachelors across India, before Unacademy.

2. Unacademy Educators earned a total of Rs. 6 crores in the month of March 2019.

3. As of today March, 2019 the Unacademy Group is valued at $117M.

4. Unacademy has become India's newest unicorn - and the second e-learning venture after Byju's to achieve the landmark.
