Ramit verma is a YouTuber, he was born in Delhi and is the founder and owner of the YouTube channel Official Peeinghuman. His channel is all about capturing the absurdity, contradictions, and biases of Indian news and politics through humour and satire. The channel has more than 1 Million subscribers and over 200 Million views (as of May 2021). He has a Bachelor’s degree in commerce, has dabbled in photography, picked up basic editing skills and even did a stint with Google in Delhi.

The channel’s name was inspired by the famous lifestyle brand owned by a Bollywood superstar. “The name came to me when Salman Khan was acquitted in the hit-and-run case” says Verma. He created the channel in May 2015, his initial work were mash-ups of Hollywood/Bollywood videos, Ramdev dancing, or Beyonce grooving to Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. But then two years later he started making completely political and media related content. 

He is not aligned to any political party, but believes in the right to criticise and question whoever is in power. He was even threatened with legal action “by some leading TV channels”, he says. It led to some content being removed by YouTube from his channel. But rather than getting threatened by all this he continued making videos with the same energy and the motive to keep people interested in political discourse. Currently The channel has more than 1 Million subscribers and over 200 Million views (as of May 2021).
