When he was a small child, he aspired to be a chess Grandmaster and even represented his school in national competitions. But his life plans changed when he saw Steve Jobs launching the first iPhone by Apple in 2007. Back then He was just 12, but was impressed by Steve Jobs unveiling the iPhone, and he started reading and researching about Steve Jobs and entrepreneurship. He started learning Graphic Designing and making websites after he completed his 8th class.
Later he went to Delhi to study engineering. And then he started his first startup during his initial college days by making ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software for colleges. After the first Happy year in college, he got to know that he has to learn things himself for building a career and college would not help him in the way. So he decided to Quit college. But his parents were not aware of him dropping out of College as he knew they wouldn't agree to his decision of Dropping out of college. He ended up spending the next two years bankrupt, living out of the co-working space Innov8, tried so many ideas, and worked for a bunch of startups for free. After a lot of failure and disappointment, it was the time for him to get the result of his struggles and hard work, Finally in 2017, Ayush co-founded Edtech startup Tech with American techie Andrew Linfoot, whom he met at Innov8.
The company (Pesto Tech) basically runs a 4 month bootcamp, where it trains software engineers (with minimum two years of experience) in soft-skills by connecting them to mentors in the US, who have a lot of experience and have worked with big companies such as Facebook, Twitter, and Uber.
They are trained free of cost and the mentors do not charge anything either. However, before joining the programme, students have to sign an income share agreement. The company charges 17% of your salary for the next three years as the fee but only if you make more than 15 lakh rupees a year. If you make anything less than 15 lakh, then the company considers it as their fault, so the students have to pay Nothing. The average salary of a Pesto graduate is around $46,000 (nearly Rs 35 lakh) according to the startup.
Cut to 2020, his angel investor, the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Swiggy Rahul Jaimini, decided to join Pesto as a Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer (COO).
